Usual crowd about 500 entered and 100 rent snowshoes for $20, probably their first time on them, so no excuse, come join us. The learning curve is zero, strap em’ on and run.

The course is a snowy jaunt through the woods with plenty of logs to jump and branches to duck, like a leg of Dances with Dirt!

Register race weekend (01/25/2019 & 01/26/2019) - $30 (does not include a shirt or hat)

There will be the option to rent snowshoes for $20 below if you do not have your own!

NOTE: There will be an elite corral option at the start for participants who expect to snowshoe sub 30 minutes in the 5K and sub 60 minutes in the 10K.

Waiver and Release of Liability

Waiver and Release of Liability:

I know the Bigfoot race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with the event, including (but not limited to) falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, lightning, traffic, and the conditions on the road and trail; all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your acceptance of my entry in this event, I, for myself, my heirs,executors and administrators, waive all rights and claims for damages I may have against Running Fit, Inc., RF Events, The State of Michigan DNR, East Bay Township, The U.S. Snowshoe Association (USSSA), Timber Ridge Campground, and all volunteers or people involved from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I also grant the use of my voice and any and all recorded and or filmed/video/ photographed footage of me, and further waive all rights to any compensation, as a result of my name or likeness being used in any way. I understand that RF Events will not sell, rent, or lease our subscription lists to third parties. I understand that E-mail addresses are shared with the photography company for the sole purpose of sending me my race day photo.

Rules: A snowshoe competitor may compete on any manufactured snowshoe that is designed for an adult. The minimum dimension is 7" x 20". Manipulation of the snowshoe frame to meet these dimensions is not permitted. Expect packed and unpacked snow conditions and constant hills! The course is a 5 km loop.

Refund and Transfer Policy

Sorry, no refunds, deferrals and or entry fee transfer to another RF Events' event.

• Change distance up to 30 days from the race, $10 change fee plus the current difference in the event entry fee, no refund for shorter event fee. Less than 30 days out until one week out from event, $15 change fee plus the difference as explained above. Race day transfer fee $20 plus any fee difference.

Once a race is SOLD OUT, transfers to another distance will only be allowed on race day, when possible.

• Entry transfer to another person until 30 days from the race, transfer fee $15 plus the difference in price if the person you are transferring to (transferee) is choosing a higher priced event. Less than 30 days out until one week out from event, transfer entry fee $20 plus the difference as described above. No race day transfers to someone else.

No transfers to another person for sold out events.

• Participants unable to participate may pick up their runner packet / shirt at the registration area. No race packet / shirt pick up once Registration and Packet Pickup closes.

All RF Events race registrations earn you points towards our Run More, Earn More Rewards program! Just register for any of our races to start earning Rewards points. No login credentials required! We do need you to register with the same e-mail address for all of your events with us... that's it! We take care of the rest and let you know when you have earned a coupon.
