WHERE: WHEREVER!
WHEN: JUNE 1-JULY 4
Join us on a virtual run/walk vacation around the shoreline of Michigan's Lower Peninsula! Not from Michigan? You'll wish you were after this virtual tour of run/walk/move fun!
What is this about? Socially distanced and quarantined but still looking for some fun? Join us on a virtual run/walk trip around Michigan's gorgeous coasts. Log running minutes to unlock each of Michigan's Lighthouses, enjoy suggested virtual side trips to explore Michigan's beach towns and hit tourist hot spots!
This is a personal challenge based on minutes you move. Walk/Running are a great challenge, you may bike if that is more your speed. This challenge is based on the number of minutes it would take to get from lighthouse to lighthouse around the Michigan coastline!
The challenge is based on honest miles. Set a goal and go for it. If the next lighthouse is 90 minutes away, make a goal to run/walk 30 minutes the next three days to reach it! Short obtainable goals is a great strategy when making a long term plan. Don’t look at the big picture, baby steps…see what we did there…we just tricked you into a walking/running plan!
(SHORT VERSION - this is a challenge to log 1175 moving minutes from June 1 to July 4. That is the number of minutes it would take someone to drive to the lighthouses from the west to east coast of MI! We think traveling by foot is way more fun!) Long version - READ ON!
