Oberun is also excited to once again partner with Karen's Trail. Karen's Trail honors the life and legacy of Karen McKeachie - world class triathlete, athletic pioneer, community leader, and a force of nature to all of us who knew her! Karen's Trail celebrates what Karen loved most by expanding recreational opportunities for everyone in the region. Your support will enable construction of the entire 70 mile Border-to-Border trail system within the next five years. This will be a paved, non-motorized trail that follows the Huron River all the way from its entry into Washtenaw County just south of Pinckney until its exit into Wayne County near Belleville. Help us to honor Karen!
The Karen's Trail project is also enthusiastically supported by the Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative, and the Friends of the Border to Border Trail.
RF Events is excited to be supporting the Angelman Foundation once again in 2021! Angelman Syndrome (AS) is a rare neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in one in 15,000 live births. Angelman syndrome is often misdiagnosed as cerebral palsy or autism due to lack of awareness. Join us in supporting our good friend Rose Timbers from Wiard's Orchard (Rose plays a huge role in making the Oberun possible!) in her efforts to raise money for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation!
A portion of all race proceeds will also be going to the Angelman Foundation, thank you for your support!
