Camp Bruin Camp Clean Up Volunteer Days
Join us as we work, play and ready the camp for the 2023 season. We appreciate anytime you can give, from a couple hours to a couple weekends!
Yes, we want the camp to be ready for Run Woodstock but more importantly, Camp Bruin will be used extensively throughout the year for learning opportunities for Washtenaw Promise, a non-profit whose goal is to give a leg up to the Pre-School kids of Ypsilanti and Willow Run. The stresses of poverty, social injustice, and emotional challenges present barriers to the bright future that every child needs and deserves. Washtenaw Promise works with children, young families, schools and the community, to remove those barriers. Join us!
We will trim, sweep, rake, dig and mow the hours away in this wonderful wilderness setting. Yes, we will work hard but we will also set aside time for a run, hike, swim and sitting around a campfire. Lunch for all who work through the day and dinner for those who work multiple days and camp with us.
You get, free camping and for long shifts, lunch, dinner and drinks around the fire! Limited volunteer space, 20 per shift.
Bring work gloves, water bottle, bug spray, sunblock and …If you have them, shovel, rake, loppers, rags and bucket.
Email randy@rfevents if you can bring: Chainsaw, weed whacker, tractor, mower, ditch witch or any other equipment that might help tame the land!
