Wednesday, August 19

Hello awesome volunteers!  So excited to see all of you again!  You have probably missed racing just as much as we have!  We hope that all of you and your families are healthy!  Looking forward to seeing you soon!!!!!!

Obviously, a lot has changed…..

We ask that you:

  • respond to a self assessment of virus symptoms prior to the event and the day of the event, including taking your temperature before heading to the event
  • stay home if you are feeling ill. Please let your volunteer coordinator know as soon as possible so that your position can be covered
  • read and understand that new protocols are in place at this time
  • understand that the event will look different than you may be accustomed to, please familiarize yourself with the job duty you signed up for as there may be new procedures in place
  • please wear a face covering you will be comfortable wearing throughout your shift. We ask that you bring your own, although we will have some disposable masks on site
  • understand some positions will require the use of a face shield or gloves
  • maintain a social distance between yourself and anyone who does not reside in your home
  • frequently wash or sanitize your hands
  • kindly remind others to observe social distancing guidelines and to wash or sanitize their hands

We just wanted you to be aware of the changes as soon as possible.  We know that some people still have trepidations about being in large crowds so wanted you to know ahead of time all the precautions we’re taking to keep you safe. RF Events has a safety team in place and are working diligently to establish the proper safety protocols for the event. We are consistently keeping up to date with the CDC guidelines as well as the state, county and city guidelines for the location of the race.

On with the show!
