Thank you for signing up to volunteer for the Hightail to Ale 5K in Detroit!
Volunteers must be 18 or older, unless prior approval has been given by the Race Director.
Thursday Registration and Packet Pick Up: Work Thursday registration and hand out packets at Running Fit Northville location.
Friday Set Up/ Floater: Help get everything race ready, and then you'll be re-assigned! Everybody loves a mystery. Until it's time to tear it all down!
Friday Packet Pick up, Registration, & Finish Line/Clean Up Crew: Work Friday registration, hand out shirts and packets & then get reassigned to the finish line & clean up crew!
Friday Finish Line & Clean Up Crew: Hand out awards, water and maintain order around the finish line area. And then pack up the whole thing and ship it out!
Friday Course Set up/Tear Down: Help place signs and cones along the course and then help pick it all up!!
Friday Beer Garden and Pack Up: Help set up the beer serving stations and then help put it all away!
Friday Course Volunteer: We will assign you a spot along the course to cheer the runners on and to keep them moving in the right, or left, direction! Yuk. Yuk. Yuk. Costume not required, but why wouldn't you???
Friday Zero Waste Team: Save the world one recyclable item at a time! Help us meet our goal to reduce, reuse and recycle!
Friday Capture Captain: Help us by capturing the moments of joy and race day excitement. We are looking for someone who is very comfortable with technology and using a phone or camera to produce quality photographs. Mix and mingle with race participants to capture all of the fun! You must bring your own camera or phone.
We'd love for you to work more than one shift, BUT please do not double book yourself! For example, you can't work the course AND aid station because the times overlap! Also, we are super excited you are willing to help out, but please do not select a job you are not able to cover the entire shift. Cheers!
